DAY PORTER
Employment: Full-Time/Part-Time
Location: Neptune City, NJ
Description:
We are currently looking for a Day Porter to assist clients with their commercial cleaning needs during daytime hours. That includes dusting, washing, and disinfecting surfaces and furniture in accordance with current health and safety standards. Additional responsibilities may include trash removal and the cleaning of restrooms as well as the replenishment of necessary paper goods. Responsibilities:
- Dusting, cleaning, and polishing furniture, fixtures, and fittings
- Complying with all safety policies and procedures that are related to carrying out cleaning tasks
- Carrying out cleaning duties with the aid of necessary equipment
- Taking and handling special requests for clients or customers as required appropriately
- Carefully handling and operating all cleaning machinery according to protocol
- Ensuring the efficient operation of building freight elevators while also complying and adhering strictly to weight regulations
- Identifying and reporting all safety equipment maintenance issues to the supervisor or management.
Qualifications:
- Adequate experience in rendering commercial cleaning services to customers, clients, or organizations
- Sound knowledge of janitorial activities and customer service practices
- Well-developed physical fitness (may be required to move/lift heavy items)
- Sound oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Good time management and self-management and organizational skills
- High School Diploma or higher preferred
