Operations Manager

Employment: Full-Time/Part-Time 

Location: Neptune City, NJ 

Description:

Established Commercial Cleaning Company seeking experienced Operations Manager to handle all daily operations. Must be strong trainer and have excellent customer service skills and staffing /scheduling skills. The Operations Manager is responsible for inspecting client accounts and building client relationships. This is a full-time salary position. Must be willing to work afternoon, nights, and weekends (when applicable). Must have a valid driver’s license.

It is crucial that you have experience in developing systems, training, and protocol for large teams and to follow through in helping write, execute, and implement those procedures.

You will play a significant role in client relationships, employee relationships, quality assurance, and most importantly managing others in a professional, diplomatic, and efficient manner.

The position requires the individual to be flexible and highly dependable, knowing some days will require going above and beyond to ensure that all accounts are cleaned up to company’s standards.  Spanish and English are required for this position (bilingual must be able to write and speak Spanish)

Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to communicate with all cleaning techs, write and message work orders in Spanish and/or English
  • Must be very organized and detail oriented for optimal performance
  • Must be proficient with computers and easily trainable to work with our company software application
  • Utilize company software application for: staff attendance, scheduling, messaging, supplies (Daily requirement)
  • Must train all new cleaning techs and other operations team members 
  • Responsible for performing daily, weekly, and monthly account inspections 
  • Develop and manage performance-based training and operating protocols 
  • Handle client requests and issues proactively and attentively
  • Establish and Manage the Equipment Maintenance Program for the company
  • Manage floor projects and specialty projects when needed
  • Recommend and implement solutions to customers when considering canceling service
  • Must work nights and weekends to ensure proper account management 
  • Actively recruit cleaning staff members and other techs as needed
  • Actively manage all labor cost, equipment, and supplies expenses to reduce costs and adhere to company’s budgets
  • Work with CEO to establish account retention goals and adhere to such goals
  • Must be willing & able to learn floor maintenance and inspect project works
  • Must be able to reconfigure current positions and analyze which job sites need reconfiguring to be properly staff all accounts, minimize costs, and ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Help with new hire paperwork and scheduling / dispatching
  • Implement and help manage employee retention program for long term success
  • Responsible for ensuring all accounts are cleaned daily and if sick call must replace cleaner accordingly without exceptions
  • Manages safety and ensures that environmental procedures are being maintained in accordance with Local, State, Federal and Company requirements

Qualifications: 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in Spanish and English
  • Conduct Training for current employees and new hires as deemed appropriate
  • Associates Degree required / Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Minimum 3 years Operational experience in the janitorial services required
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Technology skills including the ability to use laptops, phones, company’s operations applications (training will be provided for the company software), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), the Internet, email, and texting
  • Math Aptitude and Organization / Restructuring and Time Management is required
  • Staffing experience
  • BSCAI Certifications are a plus
  • Floor Maintenance (stripping and waxing, carpet cleaning) is a plus
